The Hammervolk (German for “hammer people”) are a race of androids. Despite their name, most feature an axehead motif in their design. The term hammer evokes notions of industriousness and craftsmanship, but it can also suggest that they operate in a heavy-handed manner—or that, when dealing with rival groups, they strike hard and decisively.
