Accendino’s Chronoquest is a rock concept album that plays like a video game soundtrack for a game with a hero who leaps through portals into various exotic worlds. For the cover, I pitched the idea of the hero mid-jump through one of a set of ancient stone arches, each opening onto an exotic setting: a lush jungle, floating islands in the clouds, and a smog-choked industrial wasteland.
The character’s gear—a patchwork of items from the various worlds he’s visited—was designed to tell its own story, suggesting a long journey filled with improvised solutions and hard-won survival.
